NB: As PMI accepts payment only in US dollars, the simplest way to pay your fees is online, using your credit card. The exchange from US to Australian funds is handled by your card provider at the time the transaction is processed.
*New members are required to include a US$10.00 application fee and any Chapter, SIG or College fees. Renewing members only need to include Chapter, SIG or College fees.
**Student membership is also open to students currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited or globally equivalent college or university. Verification of current enrolment must be enclosed with a completed Membership Application.
Application Process
To become a PMI member, you will need to apply to PMI Global. You can make your application in one of two ways:
1. Join or renew now online, from the PMI.org Membership section
You will need to click Add to cart for Individual or Student membership, and for the Queensland Australia Chapter in the list of PMI Communities.
If you are not already a PMI member, you will be asked to create your PMI username and password as you checkout and complete your online payment.
2. Complete a Membership Application form and post or fax it to the PMI Asia-Pacific Service Centre in Singapore.
The PMI Global postal address and fax number are listed on the form.
The currency conversion calculator on PMI.org is for informational purposes only. PMI takes no responsibility for the accuracy of the information obtained. Prospective new and renewing members should confirm current rate with their bank prior to sending payment for dues.
Transferring an existing chapter membership?

Communities of Practice (COPs)
PMI also has a number of global COPs which members can join. These are listed on the PMI Global site in the Membership section.
PMI Group Billing Plan
PMI offers a Group Billing Plan, a simplified group-invoice program for individual members in the same organisation. Participation in the Group Billing Plan requires:
- A minimum of 15 employees within the one organisation
- Employees within the plan must join PMI
- Employees must join at least one Chapter and one Special Interest Group under the plan
